المستخلص: التأويل مطية ووسيلة من وسائل التفكير المؤدية إلى الفهم والإفهام فهو مرتبط بكافة العلوم وليس موقوفا على علم منها أو طائفة من العلماء، فهو دولة يتداولها المشتغلون بالعلوم العقلية وبعض المشتغلين بالعلوم النقلية، فتجده عند علماء الكلام والفلاسفة والمتصوفة والنحاة والأصوليين والمفسرين وهو بذلك موجه كل منهم وجهته التي تحددها طبيعة العلم. ولقد أكثر النحويون من الالتجاء إلى التأويل النحوي خوفا على الأصل أمام الشاهد القرآني الفصيح وغيره من كلام العرب، نظمه ونثره، ومن تم كان لابد أن يصبح عندهم النص القرآني غير المذعن مسرحا رحبا للتأويلات والتقديرات. فكل ما جاء مخالفا من فصيح كلام العرب للأقيسة والقواعد المستنبطة، عمل النحاة على تأويلها وتخريجها وتوجيهها لتوافق هذه الأقيسة والقواعد، على ألا يؤدي هذا التوجيه إلى تغيير القواعد أو زعزعة صحتها، ولو أنهم نظروا في هذه النصوص التي لم يقفوا عليها قبل تقعيد القواعد لما صاغوها على النحو الذي يجعلها غير قادرة على استيعاب ما خالفها من النصوص.

The linguistic interpretation of the Holy Quran is a tool and a means of thought that leads to understanding and comprehension. It is intertwined with all branches of knowledge and is not limited to any particular field of study or group of scholars. It is a methodology employed by those engaged in intellectual sciences as well as some involved in transmitted sciences. Therefore, it is found among theologians, philosophers, Sufis, grammarians, scholars of principles, and interpreters, each applying it according to the nature of their discipline. Linguists have increasingly resorted to linguistic interpretation out of concern for preserving the authenticity in the face of the eloquent Quranic evidence and other Arabic texts, whether in poetry or prose. Consequently, the Quranic text has become, for them, a broad stage for interpretations and assessments. Whenever there was a discrepancy between the eloquent Arabic language and the derived principles and rules, grammarians worked on interpreting, deducing, and aligning them to match these principles and rules. This alignment, however, should not lead to changing the rules or undermining their validity. Had they examined these texts they had not encountered before the codification of rules, they would not have formulated them in a manner that renders them incapable of accommodating texts that contradict them.
