المستخلص: تناول البحث أشكال الصراع في الروايات التي عربها الكاتب المصري مصطفي لطفي المنفلوطي أحد رواد النثر العربي في العصر الحديث الذين لهم فضل في نهضته، حيث هدفت الدراسة للنظر في أشكال الصراع في تلك المعربات، ممهدة لذلك بدراسة بيئات الكاتب التي أسهمت في تكوينه الأدبي، وما تبناه من منهج في أعماله الأدبية لاسيما المعربات، ثم تطرقت لمعرباته- عموما- التي تعد ضمن آثار عالجت جانبا مهما من النثر ربط بين الأدبين العربي والغربي في فترة شهدت حركة ترجمة وتعريب، ثم ركز على أشكال الصراع في المعربات الروائية التي ظهر فيها بأشكاله المختلفة: الاجتماعي، والطبقي، والقيمي، والنفسي. واتخذ الباحث المنهج الاجتماعي منهجا رئيسا لبحثه، واستعان بالمنهج النفسي؛ إذ به يظهر شكل الصراع النفسي بوصفه أحد الأشكال المعنية بالدراسة. وقد وجدت الدراسة أن المنفلوطي عرب عددا من القصص والروايات الغربية، وصاغها بطرق تناسب الذوق العربي، بلغة فصيحة تجلت فيها صور نهضة النثر في هذا العصر، وقد حملت صراعات ظهرت فيها أشكال الصراع المختلفة، فكانت رواية الفضيلة نموذجا للصراع الاجتماعي، ورواية (ماجدولين) نموذجا للصراع الطبقي، ورواية (في سبيل التاج) نموذجا للصراع القيمي، بينما مثلت رواية (الشاعر) نموذج الصراع النفسي. كما أنه تميز في معرباته بأسلوب خاص كان موضع اختلاف بين النقاد حيث انقسموا تجاهه بين مستحسن ومستهجن أوصى الباحث بمزيد من الدراسات في الآثار الأدبية للمنفلوطي، وحركة التعريب السردي في العصر الحديث.

This research discusses forms of conflict in the Arabized narratives of the Egyptian writer Mustafa Lutfi Al-Manfaluti; one of the pioneers of Arabic prose in the modern age. Al- Manfaluti had also contributed to the renaissance of this form of literature. The research aims at tracing forms of conflict in those Arabized narratives. The researcher has prepared the ground by studying the environment of the writer which had a great deal of importance in his literary formation and the ideologies he adopted in his literary works, especially the Arabized narratives. Next, the research has demonstrated all the Arabized works of Al- Manfaluti in general as they constitute reminisces which tackled an important aspect of the prose connecting Arabic literature and the Western literature in an era that witnessed a movement of translation and Arabization. After that, the research focused light upon forms of conflict in the Arabized narratives and those various forms included social, class, value- based and psychological conflicts. Basically, the research applies the social approach, but it also resorted to the psychological approach since the psychological conflict appeared as one of the intended forms in this research. The research has found that Al- Manfaluti had Arabized a number of Western stories and novels shaping them in a way that would be compatible with the Arabic taste, using standard language which manifested images of the development of Arabic prose in that age. In addition, Al- Manfaluti's Arabized narratives contained struggles in which various forms of conflict were tacitly present. For example, the novel of Al- Fadila (Virtue) was an example of social conflict, the novel of Magdouline was an example of class struggle, the novel of Fi Sabeel Al- Taj (For the Sake of the Crown) was an example of a value- based conflict and the novel of Al- Sha'er (The Poet) was an example of psychological conflict. Finally, Al- Manfaluti was characterized by a specific style in his Arabized works and that style was disputable for the critics; some of them approved it while others disapproved. The research has recommended running more studies of the literary reminisces of Al- Manfaluti and the movement of prosaic Arabization in the modern age.
