ومن خصائص الغناء الشعبي هيمنة اللهجة المحلية التي تعكس الطابع البيئي الذي تبعث منه الأغنية، فمن خلال الاستماع للأغاني الشعبية في الوطن العربي نستطيع أن نحدد البقعة الجغرافية التابعة منها تلك الأغاني، وذلك من خلال سيطرة اللهجة المحلية عليها، تلك اللهجة التي تعتبر بمثابة تكوين للأغنية الشعبية والتي تستمد منها ألحانها وإيقاعاتها الشعبية، ولاشك أن هناك علاقة وثيقة بين اللحن والكلمات، وأنه من الصعب أن نعرف معنى الإيقاع واللحن عندما ينفصلان عن الكلمات أو لا يرتبطان بالرقص، فاللحن بالنسبة للمغني أحد العناصر الرئيسية التي يؤثر بها في مستمعيه. ينقسم البحث إلى جزئين الجزء النظري ويشمل - الدراسات السابقة المرتبطة بموضوع البحث - أغاني الحضر - فنون الخماري - فنون الخماري وأنواعها الجزء التطبيقي ويشمل - تحليل عينة البحث من فنون الخماري - يابويوسف - شراي واختتم البحث بالنتائج والتوصيات والمقترحات ثم قائمة المراجف وملخص البحث.
One of the characteristics of popular singing is the dominance of the local dialect, which reflects the environmental character from which the song is messed up. By listening to popular songs in the Arab world, we can determine the geographical area that these songs belong to, through the control of the local dialect over it.
