المستخلص: حظيت الكثير من الموانئ البحرية بعناية الباحثين، وكان اهتمامهم الخاص ينصب على الموانئ الرئيسة، ولم يحظ ميناء الشعيبة بالاهتمام الكبير، وما كتب عنه لا يزيد في الحقيقة عن إشارات بسيطة ومتفرقة لا تعطي في مجملها صورة واضحة لهذا الميناء وتطوره التاريخي. وقد عنيت هذه الدراسة بتسليط الضوء على هذا الميناء المهم لمكة المكرمة في فترة ما قبل الإسلام إلى عصر عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه، حيث أشارت بعض المصادر المتقدمة أنه أول من اتخذ جدة مرفا بعد أن كانت الشعيبة ميناء مكة الأول، وستحاول هذه الدراسة سبر أغوار هذا الميناء، ومناقشة أهميته لأهل مكة، ودوره السياسي والتجاري في فترة صدر الإسلام، إضافة إلى إعطاء صورة عن التبادل التجاري بين أهل مكة وغيرها من الأقاليم، وأنواع السلع المتبادلة عبر ميناء الشعيبة، فضلا عن أهمية هذا الميناء بالنسبة لعلاقة المسلمين بقريش في بداية الدعوة وهجرتهم إلى بلاد الحبشة. وقد استفاد الباحث من الدراسات السابقة التي تناولت بعض جوانب هذا الموضوع، واستخدم المنهج التاريخي الوصفي والتحليلي، وذلك بتتبع مادة الدراسة في كافة مظانها العلمية، ورصدها وتبويبها حسب المحاور، ثم تحليل تلك المادة العلمية المتوفرة ونقدها نقدا علميا موضوعيا، والمقارنة بين الروايات والحوادث والمعلومات التاريخية التي وردت في أكثر من مصدر للوصول إلى استجلاء الصورة الأقرب إلى الحقيقة التاريخية فيما يخص موضوع الدراسة، مع الالتزام بالإطارين؛ الزماني والمكاني.

Many seaports received the attention of researchers, and their special interest was interested on the main ports. Shuaiba Port did not receive much attention, and what was written about it, was in fact no more than simple and scattered references that do not give in their entirety a clear image of this port and its historical development. The study was interested with shedding light on this important port of Makkah in the pre-Islamic period until the era of Uthman bin Affan, may God be pleased with him, as some advanced sources which he was the first to use Jeddah as a port after Shuaiba was the first port of Makkah, and this study will try to find out the depths of this. The port, and discuss its importance to the people of Makkah, and its political and commercial role in the period of early Islam, in addition to giving pictures of the trade exchange between the people of Mecca and other regions, and the types of goods exchanged through the port of Shuaiba, as well as the importance of this port in relation to the relationship of Muslims with Quraysh at the beginning of the call and their migration to the country of Habasha. The researcher took benefits from previous studies that dealt with some aspects of this topic, and the researcher used the historical, descriptive and analytical approach, by tracking the study material in all its scientific fields, monitoring and classifying it according to the axes, then analyzing that available scientific material and criticizing it in an objective scientific manner, and comparing narratives, incidents, and historical information which were mentioned in more than one source in order to identify the image closest to the historical truth regarding the subject of the study, while compliance to the temporal and spatial frameworks.
