المستخلص: The current study aims at investigating the impact of digital formative assessment on improving primary-stage pupils' oral skills. Quasi-experimental research design with two groups; experimental and control, has been exploited in this study. The total sample of the study consists of 50 primary school pupils from five national departments at Smart City Language School in Hurghada City, Red Sea governorate: 25 pupils in the experimental and 25 pupils in the control group. The study used digital formative assessment tools; Animoto, Socrative Teacher, and quizzes. The findings of the study revealed the effectiveness of using digital formative assessment tools in improving primary-stage pupils' oral skills. There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the posttesing of oral skills in favor of the experimental group. Therefore, it is recommended – based on the study results – that digital formative assessment tools and applications should be used to assess the four language skills.
