|b The paper illustrates the importance of small and medium enterprises in the African economy through the job opportunities they provide and their contribution to the gross domestic product and African exports. Moreover, the paper explains the role that the industrial clusters play in overcoming the obstacles related to the size of the small and medium projects and financial problems through what they provide of economies of scale, and sheds light on the improvement in the performance of these projects inside the cluster compared to their performance outside the cluster, and e-commerce has played an effective role in the growth and development of small and medium projects, especially after the spread of mobile phone networks across the continent. In addition to that, the paper monitors the main constraints that hinder the growth of African small and medium enterprises, which were represented by financial problems, weak administrative and organizational capabilities, and weak marketing capabilities. Finally, the paper presented a future vision to overcome these obstacles.
