|a لا يمكن دراسة أي ظاهرة خارج سياقها التاريخي الذي أسهم في بلورتها ونموها. فقد بين هذا البحث- اعتمادا على منهجي التحليل النقدي التاريخي والتحليل والتركيب- هوية السويداء، وخصوصيتها من خلال دراسة الشرائح المكونة لها تاريخيا، مثل: العشائرية والإقطاع والعامة. تلك الشرائح التي كان لها الدور المهم في نشوء الثقافة السائدة والمتمثلة في العادات والتقاليد. وتبرز أهمية البحث في الوقوف عند منظومة القيم الأخلاقية والاجتماعية التي تحدد سلوك الناس مثل: العلاقة مع الآخر، وإكرام الضيف، وحماية المستغيث، والنجدة، وآداب السلوك، التي يجب مراعاتها، والتقيد بها، إضافة إلى تقاليد الأعراس والمآتم والقضاء العشائري وعقد راية الصلح، ومن المسائل التي تتفرد بها السويداء أيضا بروز العصبية التي تؤدي إلى توحيد الصفوف، وتناسي الخلافات الداخلية عند التعرض لأي خطر خارجي، خلافات سرعان ما تتنحى في الملمات الكبرى، وهذا يقود إلى دراسة العادات الحربية دراسة أنثربولوجية اعتمادا على مفهومات مثل الفزعة، والبيرق وأهميته في النزاعات بوصفه الراية المقدسة لدى الجميع، ومحط فخرهم.
|b It is not possible to study any phenomenon outside its historical context, which contributes to its crystallization and growth, and in isolation from other various phenomena. This research, employing methods of critical historical analysis and synthesis, explores the identity and specificity of Suwayda by examining the segments that have historically composed it, such as tribal, feudal, and common people. These segments have played a significant role in shaping the prevailing culture represented by customs and traditions. The research highlights the importance of examining the system of moral and social values that determine people’s behavior, such as honoring guests, protecting those in need, rescuing others, and adhering to norms. Additionally, it delves into traditions related to weddings and funerals, tribal justice, and the symbolic carrying of the peace banner. A unique aspect of Suwayda is the emergence of fanaticism, which unifies ranks and diminishes internal differences in the face of external danger, although it tends to subside during major crises. This leads to an examination of war customs, including “faz’a” (chanting for support), and the significance of the Druze flag, known as al-Bayraq, which serves as a sacred symbol of pride for everyone.
