المستخلص: عنوان البحث: عبارة: "فلان مود" عند علماء الجرح والتعديل، دراسة استقرائية تحليلية. تتناول هذه الدراسة عبارة "فلان مود"، وتتطرق للإشكاليات التالية: ١- ما الضبط الصحيح لعبارة: "فلان مود"؟ 2- لماذا وقع بعض العلماء في الفهم الخاطئ لمعناها؟ 3- لا توجد دراسة مستقلة تبحث في عبارة: "فلان مود". ٤- ما مرتبة مصطلح "مود" في ألفاظ الجرح والتعديل. وقد اقتضت طبيعة البحث اتباع منهجين في الدراسة: الأول: المنهج الاستقرائي: حيث قمت باستقراء جميع كتب الجرح والتعديل؛ للوقوف على عبارة "فلان مود"، واستقراء كلام العلماء في معنى هذه العبارة، وحضر الرواة الذين قيلت فيهم هذه العبارة. الثاني: المنهج التحليلي: فبعد حصر الرواة الذين قيل فيهم "فلان مود"، قمت بدراسة أحوالهم وتحليلها من خلال معرفة أقوال علماء الجرح والتعديل، ومعرفة خلاصة القول فيهم. وقد انتهيت إلى جملة من النتائج؛ أهمها: أن فهم اصطلاح المحدثين لا يكون إلا بالوقوف على السياق كاملا، ومعرفة القرائن التي تحتف بعباراتهم وتدل على اصطلاحاتهم إن لم يصرحوا بتفسيرها، وكذلك جمع الرواة الذي قيل فيهم مصطلح ما.

The phrase: "someone is of fatal destiny/ fulaan modin" from the perspective of the scholars within the context of vouching and discrediting; Analytical inductive study. This study investigates into the term someone is of fatal destiny", and addresses the following problems: 1-What is the correct adjustment of the phrase: "someone is of fatal destiny"? 2- Why did some scholars misunderstand its meaning? 3-There is no independent study scrutinizing the phrase "someone is of fatal destiny". 4- How far is the rank of the term “fatal destiny” in the words “vouching” and “discrediting”? Significantly enough, the nature of the research entailed the adoption of two investigative approaches to the study: The first approach: is the inductive approach: where I extrapolated all the books of “vouching and discrediting” to figure out the phrase “"someone is of fatal destiny"” and extrapolated “the words of the scholars regarding the meaning of this phrase, and to encompassed the narrators who delved into this phrase. The second approach is the analytical approach: after listing the narrators who were included in citing “"someone is of fatal destiny"” I studied and analyzed their conditions by getting in the know of the sayings of the scholars of vouching and discrediting and being conversant with their abridged gist of their quotes. I came to a number of conclusions, the most important of which are: Understanding the terminology of the modernists can only be achieved by knowing the complete context, and knowing the clues which boast their expressions and indicate their conventions if they do not express their interpretation, as well as gleaning the names of the narrators about whom a term was said.
