المستخلص: حظي المكان بأهمية كبيرة عند الإنسان منذ القدم إذ به يعبر عما يختلج في نفسه من مشاعر وأحاسيس ولا سيما عند المرور ببعض الأماكن التي يكون فيها للإنسان ذكريات مرتبطة بها، وقد كان المكان ذا أهمية في المجالات الإبداعية كافة إذ مازال يحظى باهتمام الباحثين والنقاد لأهميته في حياة الإنسان خاصة والشعراء عامة، وقد كان ذا أهمية عند بعض النقاد الغربيين من أمثال غاستون باشلار في كتابه (جماليات المكان) الذي تناول فيه أهمية بعض الأماكن عند الإنسان. قد شكل المكان رمزا من رموز الشعرية في الأدب العربي قديما وحديثا، ولكن لم يلتفت إليه بوصفه عاملا مؤثرا في تداعيات الذكرى إلا حديثا، فقد جاء سعي الخنساء في شعرها الذي رصدت فيه محامد كل من أخويها وزوجها، مبرزة حدود المكان الذي شهد بعض صولاتهم في الحرب، أو جودهم وكرم أخلاقهم في السلم، فكان لزاما أن تعبر تعبيرا صادقا عن خصوصية الأماكن التي شهدت معايير انفراد المتذكر بأبرز المميزات التي اتسم بها.
