|a ظهر في العصر الحالي التحول الانتقالي في العمارة والتصميم الداخلي والمرتبط بالتحولات العميقة والتطورات في العلم وعلوم الأحياء والبيولوجيا وبالتالي هذا التطور يلمس كل المجالات في الحياة، كل هذه العلوم والنظريات الجديدة غيرت من المفاهيم والرؤى للنظام في الكون، فتحولت الرؤية من النظرة الآلية أو الميكانيكية للنظام في الكون إلى مفهوم الكون ذاتي التنظيم على كل المستويات، وتهدف الثورة البيولوجية المزودة بالمعرفة والتكنولوجيا الإحيائية، إلى أن تصنع مجتمعا جديدا يتحرر فيه خيالنا لينطلق إلى مستقبل هذه الثورة البيولوجية الخطيرة، فالثورة البيولوجية شأنها شأن غيرها من الثورات العلمية التقنية تتضمن التجديد، وتواجه المصممين بتغيرات غير مألوفة في مجال التصميم والعمارة والأثاث، هذا البحث عبارة عن تحليل شامل لخصائص اتجاه التشكل الحيوي وتسليط الضوء على هذا العالم الدفين للطبيعة، لاستلهام صور إبداعية أكثر في عملية التصميم، ومحاولة لتعزيز فهم العالم الداخلي للطبيعة وعلم البيولوجيا بين المصممين، سيتم في هذا البحث التعريف باتجاه التشكل الحيوي كحركة تصميمية حيوية ومن ثم تحليل خصائص وسمات اتجاه التشكل الحيوي وعرض لنماذج من تصميم الأثاث توضح الرؤى التصميمية المختلفة ومصادر الاستلهام والثراء البصري.
