|a يبدو أن الدراسات الأولى التي اهتمت بمفهوم الضحية كانت حكرا على الباحثين في القانون الجنائي وعلم لإجرام، والذين ربطوا مفهوم الضحية بالسلوك الإجرامي، أي ضحية الجريمة التي يعاقب عليها القانون الجنائي. بيد أن بعض السلوكات غير الأخلاقية التي تحدث اضطرابا في المجتمع، من شأنها أن تودي بضحايا كثر، دون أن تكون لهؤلاء القدرة على جبر الضرر لكون السلوك غير الأخلاقي يخرج عن دائرة الأفعال المجرمة قانونا. من هنا، برزت بعض العلوم المكملة لعلم لقانون كعلم الاجتماع وعلم النفس كمحاولة لتجاوز المقاربة الجنائية الضيقة للضحية، وهو ما أسفر عن ميلاد علم الضحية كعلم يهتم أساسا بدراسة الضحية، من خلال تحليل أسباب تعرضه للإيذاء وإيجاد سبل الوقاية من الجريمة، وكذا التدابير الكفيلة بالنهوض بأوضاع الضحية.
|b Since the dawn of time and in all civilizations, human beings, coercive power and nature have been at the origin of victimization, victimhood and suffering. Indeed, these three concepts are fundamentally linked to each other throughout history. Victimization, which created the victim and their suffering with their speeches, expressions, behaviors and demands, represents a phenomenon which has marked memories, writings and representations. And if all this is part of the realities of societies, the figure of the victim has occupied a preponderant place in historical, literary, artistic and medical sources. His perception varied depending on various contexts and in relation to the emotions, sensations and expressions triggered by the victim. Assuming that the concept of victimization was used to reveal realities and practices, the victim appeared as a social fact conceived and elaborated by all the discourses, representations and beliefs of a given era.
