|a تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى رصد تأثيرات ظاهرة التغير المناخي على المكتبات العامة ومراكز المعلومات من خلال استعراض بعض الأمثلة- التي تم الإعلان عنها- على المكتبات التي تضررت بسبب الأحداث الجوية المتطرفة الناتجة عن تلك الظاهرة. وقد اعتمد الكاتب على مسح وحصر ما توفر له من نماذج مختلفة ومتنوعة من عدة دول، وكلها حدث بها تأثير العوامل تسبب بها التغير المناخي، من قارات آسيا وأمريكا الجنوبية وأمريكا الشمالية وأوروبا، منذ بداية التأثير الذي حدده مؤتمر الأمم المتحدة للبيئة والتنمية- المعروف باسم "قمة الأرض"- الذي عقد في عام 1992م بولاية ريو دي جانيرو بالبرازيل، بغرض إلقاء الضوء على تأثيرات واقعية على نماذج متعددة من المكتبات. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن ظاهرة التغيرات المناخية تؤثر بشكل كبير على المكتبات العامة ومراكز المعلومات من خلال زيادة مخاطر الكوارث المناخية الناتجة عن تلك الظاهرة مثل: الأمطار الغزيرة والفيضانات، والحرائق، والعواصف وغيرها. مما يحتم على المكتبات اتخاذ تدابير لتعزيز التحضير والاستجابة للأثار الناتجة عن تغير المناخ، وتحسين الاستدامة البيئية للمباني والعمليات.
|b This study aims to monitor the effects of climate change on public libraries and information centers by reviewing some examples- which have been announced- of libraries that have been affected by extreme weather events resulting from this phenomenon. The author relied on surveying and enumerating what he was provided with various and diverse models from several countries, all of which have been affected by factors caused by climate change, from the continents of Asia, South America, North America, and Europe, since the beginning of the impact defined by the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development- known as the "Earth Summit"- held in 1992 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In order to shed light on realistic effects on multiple models of libraries. The study concluded that the phenomenon of climate change significantly affects public libraries and information centers by increasing the risks of climate disasters resulting from this phenomenon, such as heavy rains and floods, fires, storms, and others. This necessitates libraries to take measures to enhance preparation and response to the effects of climate change, and to improve the environmental sustainability of buildings and operations.
