المستخلص: عني هذا البحث بدراسة بعض النباتات الطبيعية التي تنمو في محافظة العلا التي تشتهر بتنوع تضاريسها، ووفرة النباتات بها، وقد جمع البحث أشهر النباتات الطبيعية التي تنتشر بشكل واسع في محافظة العلا، والحديث عن هذه النباتات المختلفة من الناحية اللغوية، وذكر ما ورد هذه النباتات في الشعر العربي. ويهدف البحث إلى دراسة تلك النباتات دراسة لغوية وصفية معتمدا على مصادر متنوعة من معاجم اللغة قديمها وحديثها وغيرها؛ وذلك للتعريف بأسماء النباتات التي تنمو في محافظة العلا، ودراستها من الناحية اللغوية، وبيان وصفها، ومعرفة أماكن نموها، وفوائدها الطبية وغيره، أما المنهج المتبع في كتابة هذا البحث فهو المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، حيث قام على جمع أشهر النباتات الطبيعية التي تشتهر بها محافظة العلا، ووصفها وصفا دقيقا من حيث الشكل، واللون، وذكر أماكن تواجدها في المناطق الأخرى، وجاء البحث في فصل واحد احتوى على أشهر أسماء النباتات الطبيعية في محافظة العلا، وقد تم ترتيب هذه النباتات ترتيبا هجائيا، ثم ختم البحث بخاتمة ذكر فيها أهم ما توصل إليه البحث ومنها: أن محافظة العلا تتميز بكثير من النباتات الطبيعية المختلفة وقد ذكر البحث بعضا منها، كما أن لهذه النباتات أكثر من اسم شائع عند سكان هذه المنطقة، ولمعظمها فوائد طبية، وغير طبية، ثم ختم البحث بذكر المصادر والمراجع.

This research is concerned with studying some of the natural plants that grow in Al-Ula Governorate, which is famous for its diverse terrain and abundance of plants. The research collected the most famous natural plants that are widely spread in Al-Ula Governorate, and talked about these different plants from a linguistic perspective, and mentioned what these plants were mentioned in Arabic poetry, The research aims to study these plants with a linguistic and descriptive study based on various sources from ancient and modern language dictionaries and others; This is to identify the names of plants that grow in AlUla Governorate, study them from a linguistic perspective, describe them, know their places of growth, their medical benefits, etc. The method followed in writing this research is the descriptive analytical method, as it was based on collecting the most famous natural plants that AlUla Governorate is famous for, describing them accurately in terms of shape and color, and mentioning their locations in other regions. The research came in one chapter that contained the most famous names of natural plants in AlUla Governorate. These plants were arranged alphabetically, then the research was concluded with a conclusion in which he mentioned the most important findings of the research, including: AlUla Governorate is distinguished by many different natural plants, and the research mentioned some of them. These plants also have more than one common name among the residents of this region, and most of them have medical and non-medical benefits. Then the research was concluded by mentioning the sources and references.
