المستخلص: يعد كتاب سيبويه منجما لا ينضب للباحثين عن عمق وأصالة الفكر النحوي العربي، وقد تناول هذا البحث (مفهوم البدل اللغوي في كتاب سيبويه) عمق المصطلحات النحوية وأصالتها عند سيبويه، فعني باستقراء استعمال سيبويه لـ (البدل) في كتابه الذي تكرر مئات المرات في مواضع مختلفة، وبعد دراسة بعض المواضع المختارة، وتحليلها أظهر البحث أن سيبويه اهتم بالتوضيح والتفسير لكل استعمالاته لـ (البدل) بشكل عام، فالبدل النحوي يرتبط بما يريد المتكلم أن يزيده في الكلام بغرض التفسير والإيضاح فأبقى المبدل منه؛ لأنه توطئة للزيادة المقصودة التي جاءت إتماما للمعنى فلا يمكن أن يقع لبس في الكلام لدى المخاطب بوجود البدل أيا كان نوعه، وكانت العلاقة بين المبدل منه والبدل علاقة قوية فالاسم يبدل من الاسم والفعل يبدل من الفعل. أما البدل اللغوي فقد كان يعتمد على حذف المبدل منه وجوبا في مواضع البدل؛ لأن البدل عوض عن المبدل منه، وفيه إشارة إليه، وإن لم يكن من جنسه أو في موضعه. وقد أثبت البحث أن البدل النحوي والبدل اللغوي وجهان لعملة واحدة، فهما يمثلان جانبا من الحد اللغوي للبدل، ولا يوجد لبس في استعمال سيبويه لهذا المصطلح في المواضع المختلفة.

Sibawayh’s book is an inexhaustible mine for those searching for the depth and originality of Arabic grammatical thought. This research (the concept of linguistic substitution in Sibawayh’s book) dealt with the depth and originality of grammatical terms according to Sibawayh. It was concerned with extrapolating Sibawayh’s use of (substitution) in his book, which was repeated hundreds of times in various places. After studying some of the selected topics and analyzing them, the research showed that Sibawayh was interested in clarifying and explaining all of his uses of (substitution) in general. The grammatical substitution is related to what the speaker wants to add to the speech for the purpose of interpretation and clarification, so he left the substitute; Because it is a prelude to the intended addition that came to complete the meaning, it is not possible for the addressee to be confused in the speech by the presence of the substitute, whatever its type, and the relationship between the substitute and the substitute was a strong relationship, as the noun is replaced by the noun and the verb is replaced by the verb. As for the linguistic substitution, it was based on the obligatory deletion of the substituted from it in the places of substitution. Because the substitute is a substitute for what is replaced, and it contains a reference to it, even if it is not of its type or place. The research has proven that grammatical substitution and linguistic substitution are two sides of the same coin. They represent one aspect of the linguistic definition of substitution, and there is no ambiguity in Sibawayh’s use of this term in various places.
