المستخلص: يتناول هذا البحث الافتراض النحوي عند المبرد، فيتطرق إلى الحديث عن معنى الافتراض، ونشأة هذا المصطلح واستعمالاته، والمنهج المتبع في هذا البحث هو المنهج الوصفي التحليلي القائم على استقراء الافتراضات عند المبرد وتحليلها. ويهدف إلى بيان الأسس العلمية التي انطلق منها المبرد في بناء القاعدة النحوية، والتفرقة بين الافتراضات المقبولة والمردودة، ثم الحديث عن افتراضات خرجت على الضرورة، تقبل كما هي ولا يقاس عليها، ثم الخاتمة، والتي توصلت فيها إلى أن هذه الظاهرة متأصلة في كتب النحو بدليل وجودها في كتب المتقدمين، وأنها تفرق بين القواعد المتشابهة وتبين ما بينها من فوارق دقيقة لها أثر في الحكم على القاعدة، وأن القواعد النحوية إنما وضعت لخدمة النصوص، وليس العكس؛ لذلك فإن الافتراضات إن كانت مدعمة بأدلة، أو جاءت موافقة لقياسات النحويين فهي مقبولة، لأننا لو اعتمدنا القواعد الأصيلة فقط في الحكم على الافتراض لأدى إلى كثرة التأويلات، فقبول تلك الافتراضات على ظاهرها أولى ما لم يمنع مانع، فإذا خالفت تلك الافتراضات الأصول وأدت إلى محظور رُدَّت، ومن هنا تظهر قيمة الافتراض في إظهار صور جديدة للقاعدة، ورد الفاسد منها حتى لا تفسد اللغة. وأن للافتراضات وجها إيجابيا يتمثل في إثبات قواعد جديدة على وفق قواعد أصيلة تؤدي إلى التوسع في اللغة.

This research deals with the grammatical assumption of Al-Mubarrad, and discusses the meaning of assumption, the origin of this term and its uses, and the method followed in this research, which is the descriptive analytical method based on the induction of assumptions of Al-Mubarrad and analyzing them The research aims to clarify the scientific foundations from which Al-Mubarrad proceeded in building the grammatical rule, and to differentiate between acceptable and rejected assumptions, then to discuss assumptions that came out of necessity, are accepted as they are and are not measured by them, then the conclusion, in which I reached that this phenomenon is rooted in grammar books as evidenced by its presence in the books of the predecessors, and that it differentiates between similar rules and shows the subtle differences between them that have an effect on the judgment of the rule, and that grammatical rules were established to serve the texts, not the other way around Therefore, if the assumptions are supported by evidence, or are in accordance with the grammarians’ measurements, then they are acceptable, because if we depended only on the original rules in judging the assumption, it would lead to many interpretations. Accepting those assumptions on their face value is better unless there is an obstacle preventing it. If those assumptions contradict the principles and lead to something forbidden, they are rejected. From here, the value of the assumption appears in showing new images of the rule, and rejecting the corrupt ones so that the language is not corrupted. And that the assumptions have a positive aspect represented in proving new rules according to original rules that lead to the expansion of the language.
