المستخلص: يهدف موضوع البحث الموسوم بعنوان (آراء إميل درمنغم حول الصحابة دراسة نقدية في كتاب حياة محمد) إلى التعرف على منهجية درمنغم في كتابه، وآرائه في الصحب الكرام رضوان الله عليهم أجمعين، خاصة وأن بعض المتخصصين في السيرة والتاريخ وضعوه في دائرة المستشرقين المنصفين للإسلام ورسوله، وترجم كتابه إلى العديد من اللغات، وطبع أكثر من مرة، ويرجع إليه المسلمون في باريس، مما يعطينا دلالة واضحة على سعة انتشاره، وترجع أهمية الموضوع إلى التعرف من خلال درمنغم على مدرسة الاستشراق الفرنسي، التي هي من أقدم مدارس الاستشراق الغربي، خاصة وأن تلك المدرسة تطرقت للعديد من الدراسات التي تتصل بالإسلام وتاريخه ورجاله الأوائل، وقد انتهجت في هذا البحث المنهج التاريخي القائم على التحليل والنقد، ورصد ما يقوله درمنغم عن صحابة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وبيان مدى صحة أقواله من خطئها من خلال المصادر الحديثية والتاريخية، محاولا الوصول إلى المعلومات الأقرب إلى الصواب والمنطق، ورددت على الشبهات التي أثيرت بطريقة علمية خالية من التحامل، وقريبة من الإنصاف ما وسعني الجهد لذلك، وقد توصل البحث إلى عدة نتائج من أههما: أن منهج درمنغم في تناول حياة النبي وصحابته فيه أخطاء منهجية كبيرة، يسوقها للأسف دون حجج أو أدلة واضحة، ويعتمد فيها على الروايات الضعيفة دون الصحيحة، كما أنه ينظر إلى الأحداث والوقائع التاريخية دون مراعاة الزمان والمكان التي حدثت فيهما، ويسوقها بمنظور عصره.

The research topic entitled (Émile Dermenghem's views on the Companions: A critical study of the book The Life of Muhammad) aims to identify Durmangham’s methodology in his book and his opinions on the honorable companions, may God be pleased with them all, especially since some specialists in biography and history have placed him in the circle of orientalists who are fair to Islam and its Messenger, and his book has been translated into many languages. It was printed more than once, and Muslim scholars in Paris refer to it, which gives us a clear indication of its wide spread. The importance of the subject is due to Dermenghem’s recognition of the French Orientalist school, which is one of the oldest schools of Western Orientalism, especially since that school addressed many studies related to Islam, its history, and its early men. In this research, I adopted the historical method based on analysis and criticism, and monitored what Dermenghem says about the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace and to clarify the extent of the correctness of his statements from their error from the hadith and historical sources, trying to reach the information closest to correctness and logic, and I responded to the doubts that were raised in a scientific way free of bias, and close to fairness as much as I could, and the research reached several results, the most important of which are: Dermenghem’s approach to the life of the Prophet and his companions contains major methodological errors, which he unfortunately presents without clear arguments or evidence, and relies on weak rather than correct narrations. He also looks at historical events and facts without taking into account the time and place in which they occurred, and presents them from the perspective of his time.
