المستخلص: New digital technologies continue to influence sectors that are affected at all levels, in particular banking activity. This is strongly impacted by their emergence as the blockchain which will be the subject of our study. This system changing technology constitutes a database which contains the history of all the exchanges carried out between its users since its creation. This database is structured and secure thanks to its developed encryption techniques and a peer-to-peer network model. It is shared by its various users, without an intermediary, which allows everyone to check the validity of the string. This article aims to study the blockchain, its applications, particularly in advanced economies and their banking systems, before determining the prospects for the use of blockchain for the performance of the Moroccan banking system. To approach this specific subject, we had a close look over different documentation with specific research over the blockchain theme and the realization of semi-structured interviews with banking players in order to give rise to a prospective study for the Moroccan case. The results show that, blockchain, like a modernized information system, positively influences the Moroccan banking sector while settling or secure access to a number of services relating to exchanges and transactions between humans.

Les nouvelles technologies numériques ne cessent d'influencer les secteurs qui se voient touchés à tous les niveaux, de façon particulière l'activité bancaire. Celle - ci est fortement impactée par leur émergence comme la blockchain qui fera l'objet de notre étude. Cette technologie bouleversante constitue une base de données qui contient l'historique de tous les échanges effectués entre ses utilisateurs depuis sa création. Cette base de données est structurée et sécurisée grâce à ses techniques de chiffrement développées et un modèle de réseau pair à pair. Elle est partagée par ses différents utilisateurs, sans intermédiaire, ce qui permet à chacun de vérifier la validité de la chaîne. Cet article vise l'étude de la blockchain, ses applications, particulièrement dans les économies avancées et leurs systèmes bancaires, avant de déterminer les perspectives de l'utilisation de la blockchain pour la performance du système bancaire marocain. Pour y approcher, nous avons examiné de près une documentation diversifiée relative à la thématique de la blockchain et la réalisation d'entretiens semi-directifs avec des acteurs bancaires afin de donner lieu à une étude prospective pour le cas marocain. Les résultats dégagés montrent que la blockchain, comme un système d'information modernisé, influence positivement le secteur bancaire marocain tout en réglant les problématiques de la sécurité ou l'accès sécurisé à un certain nombre de prestations relatives aux échanges et transactions entre humains.
