The assessment of the economic viability, risk management capability, and operational efficiency of an insurance company relies on a set of key indicators carefully examined by executives, regulatory authorities, and shareholders. These indicators include underwritten premiums, claims costs, investment returns, technical provisions, and solvency margins. Our analysis revealed that the examination of long-term trends provides valuable insights into financial management, with increases suggesting financial prudence, whereas consistent decreases could indicate potential issues. Sectorial comparisons showed that more favorable developments compared to peers signal a stronger financial position. Furthermore, the impact of macroeconomic factors, regulatory changes, and specific sector characteristics also plays a crucial role in influencing claims and solvency margins. The careful analysis of these elements provides an in-depth insight into the overall financial health of the insurance company, thereby enabling informed decisions to ensure its long-term sustainability. |
