تعتبر الأسرة هي الخلية الأولي التي يتكون منها البنيان الاجتماعي وهي أساس استقرار الحياة الاجتماعية، وهي من أهم المؤسسات الاجتماعية لما لها من أثر في حياة الإنسان. وهي الأسلوب الذي اختاره الله سبحانه وتعالي للتولد والتكاثر واستمرار الحياة بعد أن أعد كلا من الزوجين وهيأهما بحيث يقوم كل منهما بدور إيجابي في تحقيق هذه الغاية، حيث تمثل الأسرة جماعة اجتماعية بيولوجية نظامية تتكون من رجل وامرأه تقوم بينهما رابطة زواجية وأبنائهما ومن أهم وظائفهما إشباع الحاجات العاطفية وممارسة العلاقات الإنسانية وتلبيه الغريزة الجنسية وتهيئة المناخ الاجتماعي والثقافي الملائم لرعاية وتنشئه وتوجيه الأبناء. والملاحظ أن تزايد حالات التفكك الأسري والطلاق والعنف الأسري وغيرهما من المشكلات الأسرية تأتي نتيجة غياب الوعي الأسري وفهم الحياة الزوجية ومسئولياتها بالشكل الصحيح لذا فإن التأهيل الزواجي يعتبر مقوما من مقومات زيادة الوعي الأسري والذي بدوره يؤدي إلى استمرار ونجاح الحياة الزوجية والأسرية. ويأتي برنامج مودة في إطار تكليفات السيد رئيس الجمهورية لوزارة التضامن الاجتماعي خلال المؤتمر الوطني السادس للشباب الذي عقد بجامعة القاهرة في يوليو ۲۰۱۸ بشأن إعداد وتنفيذ مشروع قومي متكامل لتأهيل المقبلين على الزواج وتمكينهم بالمعارف والمهارات اللازمة لبناء أسرة متماسكة تساعد في تدعيم البناء القيمي والاجتماعي للمجتمع المصري. لاسيما في ظل ما شهدته السنوات الماضية من ارتفاع مضطرد في أعداد حالات الطلاق لتصل إلى 211.5 ألف حالة طلاق، بمتوسط ٥٧٩ حالة طلاق يوميا في سنة ۲۰۱۱ مقابل ۱۹۸,۳ ألف حالة طلاق في سنة ۲۰۱۷ بنسبة زيادة 6.7%. معظم حالات الطلاق تتم خلال أول ٣ سنوات من الزواج بما يؤكد نقص المعرفة اللازمة بأسس تكوين الأسرة لدى حديثي الزواج. وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى صحة الفرض: من المتوقع أن تكون فعالية برنامج مودة للمقبلين على الزواج مرتفعا (إحداث تغييرات، تنمية معارف، حل المشكلات، تغيير المكانة الاجتماعية، إشباع الحاجات، تعديل الظروف البيئية، إكساب خبرات، تعديل اتجاهات) حيث جاء بمتوسط حسابي مرتفع بلغ (2.71).

Their most important functions include satisfying emotional needs, practicing human relations, satisfying the sexual instinct, and creating the appropriate social and cultural climate for the care, upbringing, and guidance of children. It is noted that the increase in cases of family disintegration, divorce, domestic violence and other family problems comes as a result of the lack of family awareness and understanding of marital life and its responsibilities in the correct manner. Therefore, marital rehabilitation is considered one of the components of increasing family awareness, which in turn leads to the continuation and success of marital and family life. The Mawaddah Program comes within the framework of the assignments of the President of the Republic to the Ministry of Social Solidarity during the Sixth National Youth Conference held at Cairo University in July 2018 regarding the preparation and implementation of an integrated national project to qualify those about to get married and empower them with the knowledge and skills necessary to build a cohesive family that will help support the moral and social structure of Egyptian society. Especially in light of what the past years have witnessed a steady increase in the number of divorce cases to reach 211.5 thousand divorce cases, with an average of 579 divorce cases per day in the year 2011 compared to 198.3 thousand divorce cases in the year 2017, an increase of 6.7%. Most of the cases are Divorce takes place within the first 3 years of marriage, which confirms the lack of necessary knowledge of the foundations of family formation among newlyweds. The results of the study reached the validity of the hypothesis: It is expected that the effectiveness of the affection program for those about to get married will be high (making changes, developing knowledge, solving problems, changing social status, satisfying needs, modifying environmental conditions, gaining experiences, modifying attitudes), as it came with a high arithmetic average. It reached (2.71).
