|a عني علماء العربية بموضوع التذكير والتأنيث في الكلمات العربية، فصنفوا فيه التصانيف ما بين مختصر ومبسوط، وكان من أول من صنف فيه الفراء، وتتابع العلماء من بعده كالمبرد، وابن الأنباري، وابن جني وغيرهم، وكان من تيسير الله لي وقوفي على مخطوط متقدم كتب في مطلع القرن الخامس لمؤلفه الحسن بن إبراهيم بن محمد الزامي، وهو مؤلف مختصر اعتنى فيه مؤلفه بالنص على المذكر والمؤنث من الكلمات، وشرح ما يلزم شرحه من الغريب دون خوض في المسائل النحوية أو التصريفية إلا ما ندر، ومما يزيد من نفاسة هذا المخطوط إضافة إلى تقدمه أنه مقروء ومصحح على الشيخ أبي الحسن على بن محمد الفهندري شيخ أبي الحسن على بن أحمد بن محمد الواحدي صاحب التفاسير.
|b Arab grammarians have devoted significant attention to the topic of gender (masculine and feminine) in Arabic words, producing a wide range of works on the subject, from concise to comprehensive. Al-Farra' was one of the earliest grammarians to write on this topic, followed by other prominent grammarians such as Al-Mubarrad, Ibn al-Anbari, and Ibn Jinni. Through divine grace, I was fortunate to come across an ancient manuscript, written at the beginning of the 5th century by Al-Hasan ibn Ibrahim ibn Muhammad al-Zami. This concise work focuses on identifying the masculine and feminine gender of words, providing necessary explanations for obscure terms without delving into complex grammatical or morphological issues, except in rare instances. What makes this manuscript particularly valuable, in addition to its antiquity, is that it has been meticulously read and corrected by the renowned grammarian Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Muhammad al-Quhundari, the teacher of Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Waḥidi, the renowned commentator.
