المستخلص: تهدف هذه المقالة إلى تسليط الضوء على علاقة الإنسان الحديث بأسطورة أورفيوس التي لا تزال جد حاضرة في الحياة المعاصرة. وفي هذا الصدد، تجسد هذه القصة المفعمة بالمعاني دورا رمزيا مهما اجتماعيا واقتصاديا من خلال تشخيص يعكس حالة الإنسان المعاصر. من خلال هذه الأسطورة، يمكننا أن نقيس مصيرنا البائس بأنفسنا بمصيرنا وأن نرى انعكاسا لوجودنا. إن مصير أورفيوس، الذي نزل إلى مملكة الموتى للعثور على الجميلة أوريديس موافقات على شرط عدم النظر إلى الخلف، يدفعنا لإجراء تقييم لحالتنا الحالية. إن فكرة التقدم إذن تحرمنا من الحق في الحنين إلى الماضي. إن العيش في الحداثة هو قبول ظروف النظام الرأسمالي وشروط المجتمع الاستهلاكي الحديث بمزالقه وضرورياته التي لا ترحم والتي، بالمقابل، تسمح بتجاوز الحدود الأخلاقية والثقافية. مثل أورفيوس المسكين، يحكم على آدم الليبرالي المعاصر باتباع المسار المرسوم للحداثة والتقدم، محروما من حقه في السماح لنفسه بإلقاء ولو نظرة حنين على ماضيه.

This article focuses on the relationship of modern man with the myth of orpheus which remains very present in today’s life. In this regard, this famous narrative, full of meaning, plays a fundamental social role by offering a representation of our current life. Through this myth, we can measure ourselves to our destiny or see an accomplished reflection of our existence. The fate of orpheus, who descended to the kingdom of the dead to find the beautiful eurydice, challenges us to make an assessment of our present condition. The notion of progress deprives us of the right to be nostalgic. To live in modernity is to accept the conditions of the capitalist system and that of a modern consumer society with its pitfalls and its merciless imperatives which even tolerate the transgression of any moral and cultural limit. In the image of poor orpheus, the new liberal adam is condemned to follow the steep path of modernity and progress, deprived of his right to allow himself the slightest retrospective look at his past.

Cet article tend à projeter la lumière sur la relation de l’homme moderne avec le mythe d’Orphée qui reste très présent dans la vie actuelle. Ce fameux récit chargé de sens joue, à ce propos, un rôle social fondamental en offrant une représentation à notre vie actuelle. A travers ce mythe, on peut se mesurer à notre destinée ou encore voir un reflet accompli de notre existence. Le destin d'Orphée, qui est allé à l’au-delà pour ressusciter sa bienaimée Eurydice, nous interpelle pour faire un constat sur notre condition actuelle. La notion du progrès nous prive de droit d’être nostalgique. Vivre dans la modernité c’est d’accepter les conditions du système capitaliste et celle de société moderne de consommation avec ses pièges et ses impératives sans pitié qui tolèrent même la transgression de toute limite morale et culturelle. A l’image de ce héros tragique, l’homme moderne est contraint à suivre le chemin impératif de la modernité et du progrès, privé de son droit de pouvoir s’autoriser le moindre regard rétrospectif vers son passé.
