المستخلص: مما لا شك فيه أن الحرب العالمية الأولى عام (١٩١٤-١٩١٨) وما ترتب عليها من آثار دمرت الكثير من الدول سواء على حساب بناتها التحتية أو استقرارها وسيادتها، على ضوء هذه الأحداث بدأت الدول التفكير في كيفية تكوين تنظيم دولي يمتاز بالديمومة وله القدرة على منع قيام الدول باللجوء إلى الحرب لحل مشاكلها الخارجية، بل اللجوء إلى الحلول السلمية لغرض فض النزاعات التي تنشأ بين الدول. على ضوء ذلك، عقد مؤتمر سمي مؤتمر الصلح في مدينة باريس والذي تمخض عنه قيام عصبة الأمم المتحدة بمقتضى معاهدة فرساي، إلا أن العصبة لم تؤد دورها كما ينبغي بل بدأ الضعف عليها من خلال انضمام دول إليها، ومن ثم انسحابها مثل ألمانيا وغيرها من الدول، ثم بدأت الصراعات والنزاعات الدولية من جديد أدت إلى نشوب الحرب العالمية الثانية التي انتهت إلى تفكير من جديد بإيجاد منظمة لها القدرة على درء تلك الصراعات، وبالنتيجة أنشأت الأمم المتحدة التي لم تتمكن من أداء واجباتها بسبب هيمنة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية عليها. فيما أدى إلى ضعفها كما سبق لعصبة الأمم المتحدة والتي نتج عن هذا الضعف احتلال العراق من قبل الولايات المتحدة وحلفائها دون أن يكون للأمم المتحدة دور يذكر.

There is no doubt that the First World War of 1914-1918 and its resulting effects destroyed many countries, whether at the expense of their infrastructure, stability or sovereignty. In light of these events, countries began to think about how to form an international organization that is characterized by sustainability and has the ability to prevent the establishment of Countries resort to war to solve their external problems, but rather resort to peaceful solutions for the purpose of resolving disputes that arise between countries. In light of this, a conference known as the Peace Conference was established in the city of Paris, which resulted in the establishment of the League of Nations in accordance with the Treaty of Versailles. However, the League did not perform its role as it should, but rather Its weakness appeared through countries joining it and then withdrawing from it, such as Germany and other countries, then international conflicts and conflicts began again, leading to the outbreak of World War II, which ended with new thinking about creating an organization with the ability to ward off these conflicts, and as a result, the United Nations was established, which did not It is unable to perform its duties due to the dominance of the United States of America over it, which led to its weakness, as was the case with the League of Nations. This weakness resulted in the occupation of Iraq by the United States and its allies without the United Nations having any significant role.
