|a رغم اشتداد العصبية القبلية في نفوس العرب، وما رافقتها من منازعات ومشاحنات في العصرين الأموي والعباسي لم يمنع ذلك من تكتلهم وتوحدهم في مواجهة التحديات الخارجية، كان الرفض لهذه التحديات يقوي الإحساس العربي لديهم، أدى الشعر دوره في مواكبة الأحداث المصيرية في العصرين الأموي والعباسي، كما كان فاعلا ومؤثرا في تحريكها والنفاذ إلى ما ورائها من شحد الهمم، وإثارة الحماسة، فكان بذلك عاملا قويا في إذكاء الإحساس العربي الذي تختلج به ضمائر العرب؛ لذا يحث الشعراء العرب في العصرين الأموي والعباسي بعقول واعية مستنيرة عن قبس من نور يهتدون به ليقودوا أمتهم إليه، ذلك هو واجبهم، وتلك هي رسالتهم في الحياة، وثمة تلاحم جوهري وثيق بين العرب والإسلام، وهو أساس قوة العرب في العصرين الأموي والعباسي لذا حاول أعداء أمتنا العربية والإسلامية الفصل بين جزائي هذه المعادلة الواحدة، بل وإيجاد التخاصم والتناحر بين أبناء العرب، إن اتجاه الإحساس العربي راسخ في وجدان أبناء العرب، وفي فكرهم، وجذوره عميقة في تراثنا الشعري في العصرين الأموي والعباسي.
|b Despite the intense tribalism that dominated the minds of the Arabs, along with the resulting disputes and conflicts during the Umayyad and Abbasid eras, this did not prevent them from uniting and consolidating their efforts in the face of external challenges. The resistance to these challenges strengthened their Arab identity. Poetry played a significant role in reflecting the critical events of these two eras, serving as an active and influential force in stirring up emotions, arousing enthusiasm, and rallying people. It became a powerful tool in enhancing the Arab consciousness, which deeply resonated in the hearts of the Arabs. As a result, Arab poets in the Umayyad and Abbasid periods, with enlightened and conscious minds, sought a guiding light to lead their nation towards unity. This was their duty and the mission they carried in life. Furthermore, there was a profound and inseparable bond between the Arabs and Islam, which was the foundation of Arab strength during the Umayyad and Abbasid eras. Recognizing this, the enemies of the Arab and Islamic nations attempted to divide these two integral parts of a single equation and to incite discord and conflict among the Arab people. The deep-rooted Arab identity remains firmly entrenched in the consciousness and thoughts of Arabs, with its roots deeply embedded in the poetic heritage of the Umayyad and Abbasid periods.
