المستخلص: A whole year following the Al-Aqsa Flood and the subsequent genocidal war launched by Israel against the Gaza Strip, the events on Lebanese-»Israel» border have escalated into an open and full-scale war between «Israel» and Hezbollah. For the past several months, since the Al-Aqsa Flood, the conflict had been limited to border skirmishes, military confrontations, aerial, missile, and artillery bombardments, all governed by rules of engagement. What are the underlying reasons behind this open and full-scale war on Lebanon, what are its objectives, and what are the prospects of it escalating into a regional war and what about the possibility of reaching a ceasefire? This paper presents an analytical reading of the circumstances surrounding the outbreak of this war, its objectives and trajectories, and the challenges facing the region.
