|a يستعرض هذا البحث سياسة بريطانيا تجاه التنافس الدولي بين روسيا وألمانيا على النفوذ في الكويت خلال الفترة (1899-1914م). يحلل الدوافع التي جعلت الكويت نقطة محورية لهذا التنافس، وكيف تمكنت بريطانيا من حماية مصالحها عبر التحالفات السياسية والدبلوماسية مع حكام الكويت. يركز البحث على المشروعات الاقتصادية الكبرى، مثل خط سكة حديد بغداد، الذي شكل تهديداً للنشاط البريطاني في الخليج العربي. كما يناقش البحث التأثيرات السياسية والاقتصادية لهذا التنافس على الكويت، ودورها الحيوي في الاستراتيجيات الكبرى للقوى الاستعمارية، مما عزز موقع الكويت كشريك استراتيجي أساسي لبريطانيا، وأثر بشكل مباشر على مستقبلها السياسي ومكانتها في المنطقة. يدور البحث حول محورين كالتالي: أولاً: النفوذ الروسي في الكويت والموقف البريطاني منه. ثانياً: النفوذ الألماني في الكويت والموقف البريطاني منه.

It analyzes the reasons and motivations that made Kuwait a focal point in this rivalry and how Britain protected its interests through political and diplomatic alliances with Kuwaiti rulers. The study focuses on significant economic projects, such as the Baghdad Railway, which posed a direct challenge to British dominance in the Gulf. Additionally, it explores the political and economic impacts of this competition on Kuwait and its vital role in imperial strategies, strengthening its position as a key strategic partner for Britain, shaping Kuwait's political future and influence in the region. The research revolves around tow axes as follows: First: Russian influence in Kuwait and the British position on it. Second: German influence in Kuwait and the British position on it.
