|a سلط هذا البحث الضوء على جزء من نضال القوقازيين الشماليين ضد الوجود الروسي في مناطقهم، وكيف حاولوا استغلال التنافس الدولي من أجل نيل استقلالهم، سيما خلال حرب القرم (١٨٥٣-١٨٥٦)، وقد توصل البحث إلى أن القوقازيين أدوا دورًا حربيًا كبيرا ضد الاحتلال الروسي، ومارسوا نشاطاً سياسيا ودبلوماسيا ناجحًا في جذب انتباه الرأي الدولي آنذاك لقضيتهم، بحيث لو لا تضارب المصالح بين الدول الكبرى، لكانت الظروف ملائمة لاستقلال شمال القوقاز عقب حرب القرم.
|b This research shed light on part of the struggle of the North Caucasians against the Russian presence in their regions, and how they tried to exploit international competition in order to gain their independence, especially during the Crimean War (1853-1856). The research concluded that the Caucasians played a major war role against the Russian occupation, They carried out successful political and diplomatic activity in attracting the attention of international opinion at the time to their cause, so that had it not been for the conflict of interests between the major countries, conditions would have been appropriate for the independence of the North Caucasus following the Crimean War.
