المستخلص: العقد السردي مصطلح حديث النشأة مكون من جزئيين (العقد، السرد)، فالعقد الجزء الأول وقد عرف في اللغة العقد: العهد، والجمع عقود، وهي أوكد العهود. فإذا قلت: عاقدته أو عقدت عليه فتأويله أنك ألزمته ذلك باستيثاق. والمعاقدة: المعاهدة. وعاقده: عهده. وتعاقد القوم: تعاهدوا. وقد ورد في القرآن الكريم قوله تعالى: ﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَوۡفُواْ بِٱلۡعُقُودِۚ﴾، أي يكون ذلك العهد والعقد اتفاق بين طرفين لأجل أمر معين متفق عليه فيما بينهم، والجزء الثاني (السرد) هو "سرد القراءة والحديث يسرده سردا أي يتابع بعضه بعضا". أما (العقد السردي) فهو "الاتفاق بين "الراوي" و "المروي له"، السارد وجمهوره، والذي يؤكد على وجود "السرد" narrative ذاته، ويحدد هيئته ومن هنا يتضح أن العقد السردي هو تبادل المنفعة بين الطرفين بعد اتفاقهما على إنجاز ما تعاقداً عليه. وهذا ما نجده في كلا الروايتين قيد الدراسة، فقد تمثل العقد السردي في رواية عيناها (جشمهايش) ومقتل بائع الكتب بشكل واضح في نصوص الروايتين، ففي مقتل بائع الكتب تجد العقد منبثقاً بين الرجل السبعيني وبين ماجد البغدادي ليؤرخ عن حياة محمود المرزوق. حينما كلف الراوي المركزي "ماجد البغدادي" باتصال هاتفي من الرجل الغامض؛ لأجل كتابة كتاب عن المغدور "محمود المرزوق". أما في رواية جشمهايش (عينتها) فتجد العقد منبثق بين حارس المدرسة وبطلة الرواية فرنكيس على أن تسرد له قصة لوحة عيناها التي رسمها الأستاذ ما كان مقابل أن تحصل على اللوحة فقد أبرم العقد بين الطرفين بالتراضي.
