The research paper aims to measure the determinants of money demand in Algeria. To achieve this goal, we analyze the long-term relationship between the following variables: the money supply as a dependent variable, and gross domestic product, inflation, and real exchange rate as independent variables using standard methods based on conducting stationary tests, cointegration tests, and using the autoregressive distributed lag model over the period 1990-2022. The results indicate the existence of a long-term equilibrium relationship between the variables. |
