خطوات تكوين الذات البشرية هي رحلة وعرة مليئة بالتحديات، وفي خضم ذلك تواجه الذات نفسها والآخر، وتتعاطى مع كليهما؛ لتصل إلى معرفة كينونتها أو ربما لا تصل، وهي في رحلة بنائها على احتكاك دائم مع محيطها بكل ما فيه، فيحصل أن تقترن بمحيطها بإيجابياته وسلبياته، وينتج عنه تقبل الاقتران والارتباط أو عدم التقبل، وفي المقابل يعمل المحيط على محاولة إخضاع الذات لسياسته، فإن كانت رؤيته ورؤيتها متساوقة لا يحصل التنافر، أما إذا كانت تطلعات الذات مغايرة لمحيطها، فالأخير سيعمل على تطويعها بشتى الطرائق والأساليب، ومن هنا يتأتى فعل التهميش والاستلاب بحق الذات بشكل عام، والأنثوية بشكل خاص. وعبر استجلاء النقد النسوي (الأدبي) العراقي على قلته وجدناه حافلا بدارسة النصوص الأدبية تطبيقيا من خلال مكاشفة مضامينها وأساليبها، وبيان القضايا التي تهم المرأة والتركيز على ذاتها الأنثوية وهويتها، من هنا يركز بحثنا على الإشكالات التي استوقفت الصورة الذهنية لمكابدات الذات الأنثوية.
