|a تنوعت الصناعات والحرف التي لها علاقة مباشرة بالبحر في الإمارات العربية المتحدة، أهمها صناعة السفن الخشبية التي توارثها الأبناء عن الأجداد. ولكن مع الأسف مع الطفرة الصناعية بظهور النفط اندثرت هذه الحرفة والصناعة وبقيت مظاهرها فقط في إمارة دبي. كما لم يتم ترشيح أي موقع تراث صناعي من الدول العربية حتى الآن. لذا تركز هذه الدراسة على حرفة بناء السفن التقليدية (القلافة) في دبي كنوع تراث صناعي. كما أنها تسلط الضوء على المواقع التي لم يتم حمايتها أو دراستها بشكل جيد. حفظ التراث الصناعي في الإمارات ضعيف بسبب نقص الوعي والتوثيق والحماية. لذا درس هذا المقال المواثيق الدولية التي تدعو للحفاظ وحماية المواقع والمنشآت والمشاهد التراثية الصناعية. من نتائج هذه المقالة هي دعم إعادة إحياء الحرفة بالاستعمال التكيفي للمباني الصناعية وعرض المصنوعات اليدوية في المتاحف وتنظيم مهرجانات سنوية كسباقات الزوارق الشراعية وزيادة الاهتمام من الحكومة بإنشاء جمعيات تتبنى مثل هذه الصناعات أو تنظيم ورش لصناعة السفن التقليدية.
|b There were various industries and crafts directly related to the sea, the most important of which was the manufacture of wooden ships that children inherited from their ancestors. Unfortunately, with the industrial boom and the advent of oil, this craft and industry ceased to exist and only remained in the Emirate of Dubai. Furthermore, no industrial heritage location has been nominated from the Arab countries so far. This article focuses on the traditional ship building profession, called Qalafa, in Dubai as a type of industrial heritage. It also highlights locations that are neither well protected nor studied. The preservation of industrial heritage in the Emirate is weak due to insufficient awareness, documentation, and protection. Therefore, this study addressed international conventions that call for preserving and protecting industrial heritage locations, facilities, and scenes. One of the results of this study is supporting the revival of the profession through the adaptive use of industrial buildings, displaying of handicrafts in museums, establishing the annual festivals such as sailing boat races, and raising the government interest either through establishing associations that adopt such industries or through organizing workshops for manufacturing of traditional ships.
