المستخلص: تعد رواية "مالك الحزين" لإبراهيم أصلان مثالا فريداً في الأدب العربي المعاصر، إذ يتجلى فيها التوظيف البارع لعنصري الزمان والمكان في بناء نسيج سردي متماسك، تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى استكشاف الأبعاد البنيوية لهذين العنصرين وتأثيرهما على بنية الرواية ودلالاتها، تكمن إشكالية الدراسة في تحليل الدور الحيوي الذي يلعبه عنصرا الزمان والمكان في بناء رواية "مالك الحزين"، وكيفية توظيفهما لخدمة البنية السردية والدلالية للعمل تسعى الدراسة للإجابة عن التساؤلات المتعلقة بكيفية استخدام أصلان لهذين العنصرين في تشكيل هوية الشخصيات وتطور الأحداث. أهداف الدراسة: 1. تحليل البنية الزمانية والمكانية في الرواية وكشف أبعادها الفنية والدلالية. ٢. دراسة العلاقة بين عنصري الزمان والمكان وباقي العناصر السردية في الرواية. 3. استكشاف دور الزمان والمكان في تشكيل الهوية الثقافية والاجتماعية في الرواية. تعتمد الدراسة على المنهج البنيوي التحليلي، مع الاستعانة بأدوات النقد الأدبي الحديث، لتفكيك عنصري الزمان والمكان وتحليل علاقاتهما بباقي عناصر الرواية من أبرز النتائج: 1. وظف أصلان عنصري الزمان والمكان بشكل متقن في بناء الهيكل السردي للرواية، مستخدماً تقنيات متنوعة لخلق نسيج زمني معقد يعكس تداخل الماضي والحاضر. 2. لعبت الأماكن في الرواية دوراً محورياً، متجاوزة وظيفتها كخلفية للأحداث لتصبح عناصر فاعلة تحمل دلالات رمزية واجتماعية عميقة. ٣ ساهمت البنية الزمانية والمكانية في خلق إيقاع سردي متميز، يتناوب بين السرعة والبطء، مما انعكس على تجربة القارئ وتفاعله مع النص. التوصيات المستقبلية: 1. إجراء دراسات مقارنة بين توظيف الزمان والمكان في "مالك الحزين" وروايات عربية معاصرة أخرى. ۲. استكشاف تأثير السياق الثقافي والتاريخي المصري على تشكيل الفضاء الزماني والمكاني في أعمال إبراهيم أصلان الأخرى.

Ibrahim Aslan's novel "The Heron" is a unique example in contemporary Arabic literature, where the skillful employment of time and place elements is evident in constructing a cohesive narrative fabric. This study seeks to explore the structural dimensions of these two elements and their impact on the novel's structure and implications. The study's problematic lies in analyzing the vital role played by time and place elements in building "The Heron" novel, and how they are employed to serve the narrative and semantic structure of the work. The study aims to answer questions related to how Aslan used these elements in shaping character identities and plot development. Study Objectives: 1. analyze the temporal and spatial structure in the novel and reveal its artistic and semantic dimensions. 2. Study the relationship between time and place elements and other narrative elements in the novel. 3. Explore the role of time and place in shaping cultural and social identity in the novel. The study relies on the analytical structural approach, using modern literary criticism tools to deconstruct time and place elements and analyze their relationships with other elements of the novel. Key Findings: 1. Aslan employed time and place elements masterfully in building the narrative structure of the novel, using various techniques to create a complex temporal fabric reflecting the intertwining of past and present. 2. Places in the novel played a pivotal role, transcending their function as a background for events to become active elements carrying deep symbolic and social connotations. 3. The temporal and spatial structure contributed to creating a distinctive narrative rhythm, alternating between speed and slowness, which reflected on the reader's experience and interaction with the text. Future Recommendations: 1. Conduct comparative studies between the employment of time and place in "The Heron" and other contemporary Arab novels. 2. Explore the influence of the Egyptian cultural and historical context on shaping the temporal and spatial space in Ibrahim Aslan's other works.
