المستخلص: يناقش المقال الدور المتزايد للغة الإنجليزية في الجامعات الجزائرية والحاجة الملحة للترجمة لتسهيل هذا الانتقال اللغوي. كما يسلط الضوء على التحديات والفرص التي يقدمها هذا التحول، محللاً أهمية الترجمة في سد فجوات التواصل وتعزيز التفاهم بين الثقافات في النظام التعليمي. هذا وتعتمد الدراسة على إحصاءات حديثة ودراسات حالة لإظهار تأثير اللغة الإنجليزية على مشهد التعليم العالي في الجزائر.

This article explores the increasing role of English in Algerian universities and the critical need for translation to facilitate this linguistic transition. As globalization permeates various sectors, the demand for proficiency in English - international lingua franca - has intensified within Algerian higher education institutions. This article highlights the challenges and opportunities presented by this shift, analysing the importance of translation in bridging communication gaps and fostering cross-cultural understanding within the educational system. The study employs recent statistics and case studies to demonstrate the impact of English on the Algerian higher education landscape emphasizing the necessity for robust translation practices to enhance educational outcomes.

Cet article explore le rôle croissant de l'anglais dans les universités algériennes et la nécessité cruciale de la traduction pour faciliter cette transition linguistique. L'article met en lumière les défis et les opportunités que présente ce changement, en analysant l'importance de la traduction pour combler les lacunes de communication et favoriser la compréhension interculturelle dans le système éducatif. L'étude utilise des statistiques récentes et des études de cas pour démontrer l'impact de l'anglais sur le paysage de l'enseignement supérieur algérien.
