|a إن السلطان عبد الحميد الثاني هو واحد من أهم سلاطين الدولة العثمانية. وقد صادفت فترة حكمه كثيرًا من التحديات، ومرت الدولة في عهده بكثير من الصعاب، وتعرض لضغوط لا حصر لها طوال فترة حكمه لإصدار بعض القرارات التي تخدم سيطرة الدول الغربية على الدولة العثمانية. اختلف كثير من الكتاب حول طريقة حكمه وإدارته للبلاد، وهذا الاختلاف في الحكم عليه كان يصدر أحيانا من الأيديولوجيات الفكرية التي يعتنقها صاحب هذا الرأي أو ذاك. وقد تناولت من خلال هذا البحث أهم القضايا التي دار حولها كثير من اللغط، واتسمت الآراء فيها بالتناقض الشديد. ومنها: المشكلة الأرمنية، وفكرة إنشاء الجامعة الإسلامية والقضية الفلسطينية.
|b Sultan Abdul Hamid II is one of the most important sultans of the Ottoman Empire. The period of his rule encountered many challenges, and the state went through many difficulties during his reign, and he was subjected to countless pressures throughout his rule to pass some decisions that served the control of the Western countries over the Ottoman Empire. Many writers disagreed about the way he ruled and managed the country, and this difference in judging him sometimes stemmed from the intellectual ideologies embraced by the owner of this or that opinion. Through this research, I have addressed the most important issues around which there has been a lot of confusion, and opinions on which have been characterized by extreme contradiction. Including: The Armenian problem, the idea of establishing the Islamic University, and also the Palestinian issue.
