المستخلص: سعت هذه الدراسة إلى تحقيق عدد من الأهداف، منها: دراسة الوظيفة الدلالية للوقف والابتداء كما جاءت في حاشية الإمام الطيبي على الكشاف، والوظيفة الدلالية للوقف تتمثل في أن الوقف يؤدي إلى توجيه معنى الآية الكريمة وجهة معينة، على حين أن الوصل يغير المعنى في نفس الآية أو الموضع إلى وجهة أخرى، وهو أثر ينشأ من دلالة الوقف والابتداء مباشرة؛ إذ إن الوقف يمثل أحد القرائن السياقية التي يتحدد من خلالها شكل التركيب، ومن ثم دلالته، وبتغير موضعه يتغيران، واعتنت الدراسة ببيان جهود الإمام الطيبي في تحديد مواضع الوقف والابتداء، وأثر ذلك في الدلالة. كما حاولت الدراسة التعرف على موقف الإمام الطيبي ومنهجه في كثير من قضايا الوقف والابتداء، كتعريف الوقف والابتداء، وأحكامه، وأقسامه، وحكم الوقف على رءوس الآيات الراجح لديه، وعلاقة الوقف والابتداء بعلم التفسير في ضوء التعلق اللفظي والمعنوي، وعلاقة الوقف والابتداء بعلم القراءات، وتوظيفه لكلام علماء الوقف والابتداء في ترجيح معنى أو رد قول، ومنهجه في الربط بين أحكام الوقف والابتداء ونظم القرآن الكريم، وموقفه من الوقف التعسفي والراجح لديه في حكم الوقف على: (كلا) في القرآن الكريم. وقد سلكت لتحقيق هذه الأهداف المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، فقمت بحصر مواضع الدراسة، وصنفتها؛ فجاء البحث في: مقدمة، وتمهيد، ومبحثين: الأول: خصصته لبيان الوظيفة الدلالية للوقف والابتداء عند الإمام الطيبي، والثاني: جعلته للحديث عن سمات منهج الطيبي في الوقف والابتداء. ومن أهم نتائج الدراسة: تتمثل الوظيفة الدلالية للوقف في أنه يؤدي إلى توجيه معنى الآية الكريمة وجهة معينة، على حين أن الوصل يغير المعنى في نفس الآية أو الموضع إلى وجهة أخرى، وهو أثر ينشأ من دلالة الوقف مباشرة.

This study sought to achieve a number of objectives, including: studying the semantic function of stopping and starting as it appeared in Imam al-Tayyibi’s commentary on al-Kashshaf. The semantic function of stopping is that stopping leads to directing the meaning of the noble verse in a specific direction, while connecting changes the meaning in the same verse or position to another direction. This is an effect that arises directly from the meaning of stopping and starting; since stopping represents one of the contextual clues through which the form of the structure is determined, and thus its meaning, and with the change of its position they change. The study focused on explaining Imam al-Tayyibi’s efforts in determining the positions of stopping and starting, and the effect of that on the meaning. The study also attempted to identify Imam al-Tayyibi’s position and approach on many issues of stopping and starting, such as defining stopping and starting, its rulings, its divisions, the ruling on stopping at the beginnings of verses that he considered most likely, the relationship of stopping and starting to the science of interpretation in light of the verbal and semantic connection, the relationship of stopping and starting to the science of readings, his use of the words of the scholars of stopping and starting to prefer a meaning or reject a statement, his approach in linking the rulings on stopping and starting to the system of the Holy Qur’an, his position on arbitrary stopping, and the ruling on stopping at (both) in the Holy Qur’an that he considered most likely. To achieve these objectives, I followed the descriptive and analytical approach, so I limited the study’s topics and classified them. The research came in: an introduction, a preface, and two sections: the first: I devoted it to explaining the semantic function of stopping and starting according to Imam al-Tayyibi, and the second: I made it to talk about the characteristics of al-Tayyibi's approach to stopping and starting. Among the most important results of the study: The semantic function of stopping is that it leads to directing the meaning of the Holy Verse in a specific direction, while connecting changes the meaning in the same verse or place to another direction, which is an effect that arises directly from the meaning of stopping.
