|b This article focuses the aesthetic analysis on the presence of classical music and the relationship it has with the tragic evolution of the narrative in a film by Bergman, Autumn Sonata (1978). It begins by studying the diegetic presence in this film of Johann Sebastian Bach's Sarabande for cello and attempts, with the intention of dialectizing this study, to contrast Bergman's use of this piece with his use of another piece of this same German composer in another of his films. Next, this article carefully examines the presence of Frédéric Chopin's Piano Prelude in Autumn Sonata (1978) in strong connection with the tragic evolution of the narrative of this film.
|d Cet article focalise l’analyse esthétique sur la présence de la musique classique et les rapports qu’elle entretient avec l’évolution tragique du récit narratif dans un film de Bergman, Sonate d’Automne (1978). Il débute par étudier la présence diégétique dans ce film de la Sarabande pour violoncelle de Johann Sébastien Bach et tente, dans l’intention de dialectiser cette étude, de contraster l’emploi par Bergman de cette pièce avec son emploi d’une autre pièce de ce même compositeur allemand dans un autre de ses films. Ensuite, cet article examine minutieusement la présence du Prélude pour piano de Frédéric Chopin dans Sonate d’Automne (1978) et ce en fort rapport avec l’évolution tragique du récit narratif de ce film.
