|a تهدف الدراسة إلى الكشف عن معيقات الالتحاق بأقسام العلوم السياسية في الجامعات الفلسطينية. ولتحقيق هذا الهدف تبنت الدراسة الاقتراب المتمركز حول المشكلة (problem centric approach). واعتمدت الدراسة لجمع المعلومة على مقابلة رؤساء أقسام العلوم السياسية في الجامعات الفلسطينية، وقد توصلت هذه الدراسة إلى وجود معيقات الالتحاق بأقسام العلوم السياسية في جامعات لا تزال خاضعة تحت الاحتلال تختلف عن غيرها من الجامعات في دول مستقلة. وفي الجامعات الفلسطينية فإن من أهم معيقات الالتحاق بأقسام العلوم السياسية بسبب الاحتلال تأخر نشأة أقسام تمنح البكالوريوس العلوم السياسية في الجامعات الفلسطينية عن غيرها من الدول العربية المستقلة. ويعتبر عدم استيعاب سوق العمل لخريجي تخصص العلوم السياسية أهم معيق للالتحاق بأقسام العلوم السياسية لأنه تعطي الأولوية لتخصصات أخرى في الوظائف التي يتم الإعلان عنها. ومن الحلول المقترحة لمعيقات الالتحاق بأقسام العلوم السياسية أن يتم إعطاء الأولوية لخريجي تخصص العلوم السياسية أولوية التعيين في الوظائف عن باقي التخصصات.
|b The study aims to reveal the barriers caused by students' hesitation to enroll in political science programs at Palestinian universities. The study used a problem-centric strategy, it relied on interviews with heads of political science departments in Palestinian universities in order to obtain information. This study concluded that, in contrast to other colleges in sovereign nations, there exist barriers to admission for political science departments that are still in operation. When compared to other universities in sovereign Arab nations, the delay in the establishment of political science departments in Palestinian universities as a result of Israeli occupation is one of the main barriers to students' reluctance to enroll in these programs. The study also found that the biggest barrier to admission to political science programs is the labor market's incapacity to employ political science graduates since jobs that are advertised give preference to other majors. Giving preference to political science graduates over graduates from other majors is one suggested solution for political science departments to overcome the challenges caused by students' reluctance to enroll in their programs.
