المستخلص: The purpose of this research was to study the impact of social media on educational performance of secondary school students in Kuwait. The positivist paradigm of research was the basic research philosophy in this study, and hence, questionnaire survey strategy was used for the collection of quantitative data. Structural equation modelling (SEM) was the tool used for the analysis of data. The sample size was 217 secondary school teachers from both government and private schools in Kuwait selected based on convenience sampling. Eight direct hypotheses and six mediating hypotheses were tested empirically in this research among which four direct hypotheses and one mediating hypothesis were supported and the rest were rejected. Based on the hypothesis testing, implications were drawn mainly in the form of suggestions to the Ministry of Education in Kuwait. These suggestions included consideration on- investment in educational resources, professional development for teachers, promotion of self-directed learning, integration of technology, monitoring and evaluation, partnerships, and collaboration in the secondary education. The findings of this research could be useful to both academicians and practitioners in Educational Research in Kuwait.
