حينما تتعرض منطقة جغرافية أو دولة من الدول إلى حروب متعددة وبأزمان مختلفة فمن المؤكد أن تكون أثمانها باهظة على شعب تلك المنطقة أو الدولة، وبخاصة إذا كانت هذه الحروب تتسم بالوحشية والهمجية كتلك التي تعرض لها العراق عبر العقود الماضية، إذ خلف ذلك دمار معنوي ومادي لشعب العراق الذي تعرض إلى قصف بالأسلحة المحرمة دوليا من قبل الولايات المتحدة والمتحالفين معها تكمن مشكلة البحث التعرف إلى مقدار الدمار والأذى التي تعرض له شعب العراق وبخاصة الأطفال منهم، ومعرفة أي من مناطق العراق تعرضت للأذى أكثر من غيرها لعل في ذلك يعد بمثابة انطلاق لمعالجة ما يتم معالجته من هذه الأمراض ولا بخاصة التشوهات الخلقية التي مثلت ظاهرة مرضية هي الأكثر انتشارا من نتائج تلك الحروب. وظهر من البحث الميداني المستفيض عبر الجهات الحكومية ذات الصلة أن هذه الأمراض تتصاعد بشكل كبير في عموم مدن العراق بعدما كانت تنحصر سابقا في مدن تعرضت لتلوث وقصف كثيف باستخدام مواد محرمة دوليا، مثل "الفسفور الأبيض إبان مدة الاحتلال الأميركي للبلاد منذ عام 2003 ومن بين هذه المدن الفلوجة والبصرة، والآثار المباشرة وغيرة المباشرة التي ظهرت خلال عقد التسعينات وما أعقبها، وبينت إحصائيات رسمية سابقة لوزارة البيئة العراقية وجود 300 موقع ملوث في البلاد يحتاج إلى مليارات من الدولارات وعشرات السنين لمكافحته، فضلا عن 63 موقعا عسكريا ملوثا نتيجة العمليات العسكرية، وانتشار الملوثات الإشعاعية والعجلات الملوثة في عدة مدن، ومن خلال استخدام الأساليب الإحصائية أوجد الباحثان تنبؤات لأعداد المصابين بالتشوهات الخلقية مع تقادم الزمن مع تباينها بين المحافظات، ومن ضمن ما توصل إليه البحث أن ازدياد معدلات نمو الإصابات بالتشوهات الخلقية يرجع إضافة إلى عوامل بيئية كالحروب التي تعرض لها البلد إلى عومل وراثية أخرى كالخلل الذي يحدث في الكروموسوم وكذلك إلى زواج الأقارب. Whilst a geographical region or a country is exposed to numerous wars and at different times, their costs are certain to be heavy on the people of that region or country, especially if these wars are characterized by brutality and barbarism, such as those that Iraq has experienced over the past decades, as this has caused moral and material destruction for the people of Iraq who were subjected to bombing with internationally prohibited weapons by the United States and its allies, the problem of the research lies in identifying the amount of destruction and harm to which the people of Iraq were exposed, especially children, and knowing which regions of Iraq were exposed to harm more than others? Perhaps this constitutes a starting point for treating the diseases that are being treated, especially congenital malformations, which represent a pathological phenomenon that is the most widespread as a result of those deadly wars. It comes up from extensive field research through relevant government agencies that these diseases are escalating dramatically throughout Iraq's cities after they were previously confined to cities that were exposed to pollution and heavy bombing using internationally banned materials, such as "white phosphorus" during the period of the American occupation of the country since 2003. Among these are: The cities of Fallujah and Basra, and the direct and indirect effects that appeared during the nineties and what followed. Preceding official statistics from the Iraqi Ministry of Environment showed that there are (300) polluted sites in the country that require billions of dollars and decades to combat, in addition to (63) military sites polluted as a result of military operations, and the spread of radioactive pollutants and contaminated tires in several cities. Through the use of statistical methods, the researchers created predictions of the numbers of infected people. Congenital malformations increase with the passage of time and vary between governorates. Among the findings of the research is that the increase in growth rates of congenital malformations is due, in addition to environmental factors such as the wars to which the country was exposed, to other genetic factors such as the defect that occurs in the chromosome, as well as to consanguineous marriage. |
