This research paper examines occupational hazard management, workers socialization, and workplace safety cultureat SONATRACH TRCBejaia. Key findings include the diverse collective behaviours towards hazards, reflecting varying individual perceptions shaped by experience, skills, and values. The study aligns with Beck's (2008) risk society theory, highlighting the importance of risk awareness for proactive management. It also explores how shared culture, norms, and values influence work and risk representations. The study emphasizes how informal organizational learning and socialization shape risk management practices and highlights the impact of communication in educating workers. The research notes younger workers’ risk-taking as a form of self-assertion and older workers’ belief in controlling risks. These insights underline the significance of socialization and communication in fostering a safety culture and guiding effective risk management practices.
