المستخلص: Arab cinema has shown great interest in the Palestinian cause. This is reflected in the abundance of films addressing the issue and their connection to important events witnessed. This article focuses on the novel "Men in the Sun" by Ghassan Kanafani as a case study. Interpretation and understanding, as the ultimate goals for both the novelist and the director, differ. In this research, we study and analyze the narrative components: narrator, time, characters, setting, and events trying to reveal the relationship that unites these two artistic genres. The novel relies on linear verbal expression, whereas cinematic narrative requires external elements to converge and organize its production within the film, including the following: the screenplay, the director, cinematography, and editing.
