المستخلص: Our study aims to understand the issues related to women's experiences, in the context of a chronic illness, in this case diabetes. It is essentially about showing all the complexity of the constraints they face and grasping from the inside, the representations and motivations that drive them. Adopting a comprehensive approach, our research posture attempted to question their social logics, through their discourse and their practices. To do this, we opted for the qualitative approach, through observation and semi-structured interviews. What emerges is the importance of the social dimension of diabetes, particularly through the social etiology of the "shock" as cause and consequence of the disease and the resulting impact, thus revealing the readjustments implemented in the face of vicissitudes of everyday.
