|a يمثل التكيف أحد أهم التحديات المرافقة للطلبة المغتربين عند انتقالهم لبلدان أخرى لغرض التحصيل العلمي، مما يتطلب منهم التفاعل مع البيئة الثقافية والاجتماعية الجديدة، التي تكون مختلفة عن ثقافتهم المكتسبة خلال التنشئة الاجتماعية، ما تعترضهم مشكلات تمس جوانب مختلفة من حياتهم في البيئة التي انتقلوا إليها، وعلى إثر ذلك يحتاجون للتكيف النفسي الاجتماعي والثقافي، لضمان اندماجهم وإشباع حاجاتهم وتحقيق أهدافهم، ومنهم من يستطيع التكيف مع الاختلافات الثقافية والاجتماعية للبيئة الجديدة، ومنهم من يحتاج وقتا لذلك. وفي هذه الورقة البحثية، تم تسليط الضوء على واقع التكيف النفسي الاجتماعي والثقافي للطلبة المغتربين، من خلال مقاربة من منظور علم النفس الاجتماعي. الذي يتناول التكيف باعتباره عملية اجتماعية ترتبط بعوامل نفسية تتعلق بالطلبة، وبعوامل اجتماعية ثقافية تتعلق بطبيعة وخصائص البيئة الجديدة، ففهم عملية التكيف عند الطلبة المغتربين يتطلب دراستها بأبعادها التكاملية، النفسية والاجتماعية والثقافية.
|b Adapting to a new nation is one of the most difficult tasks for expatriate students seeking academic achievement. They are thrust into unfamiliar cultural and social landscapes, forcing them to interact with environments that are entirely distinct from those they were raised in. This change frequently interferes with numerous facets of their lives, requiring an extensive psychosocial and cultural adaptation process to ensure successful integration, fulfillment of needs, and accomplishment of goals. Some students quickly adjust to the new cultural and social norms, while others require an extended period for adjustment. This research paper investigates the psychosocial and cultural adaption of expatriate students, providing an analytical approach based on social psychology. It investigates adaptation as a challenging social process affected by the students' psychological characteristics as well as sociocultural parts inherent in their new environment. To fully comprehend the adaptation process of expatriate students, it is vital to evaluate it in terms of its interconnected psychological, social, and cultural parts.
