|b SONELGAZ, a major player in the electricity sector in Algeria, is exploring diversification toward energy efficiency for industries. An in-depth study analyzes the advantages (reduction of energy consumption, savings, and sustainable development) and challenges (initial investment, culture change, and competition) of this strategy. The aim is to inform SONELGAZ's decision-making and to feed the debate on the energy transition in Algeria. Success will depend on careful planning, sound investments, and collaboration with key partners, such as the economic partner, the foreign company General Electric (GE). This diversification represents a major opportunity for the company and for Algeria to meet the challenges of the energy transition and to create a sustainable energy future.
