تنبع أهمية دراسة التراث العمراني من قيمه ومعانيه ودلالاته الثقافية والتاريخية والفنية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية التي تتجسد في تاريخ الأمم فهو الشاهد الماثل على أمم عبرت وحضارات غبرت، لذا تعد مواقعها الأثرية كنزا حضاريا وهمزة وصل بين ماضي الإرث الإنساني وحاضره وشاهدا على الإبداع، ومورداً اقتصادياً سياحياً مهماً للشعوب. لذلك ستتمحور هذه الدراسة حول الإرث العمراني في منطقة الحمامة بـ (بلدية الساحل) لما له من مساهمة فاعلة في تعزيز القطاع السياحي وتنميته من خلال تبيان أهمية تفاصيل تطور تاريخها وإبراز مقوماتها السياحية وطرق تنميتها، لكونها تزخر بمواقع أثرية وطبيعية لا يمكن إغفال أهمية دورها في السياحة، يخلق الالتفات إليها واستغلالها منتجا جديدا للسياحة الثقافية والشاطئية بشكل يضاعف عدد الليالي السياحية وينعش نشاطها الاقتصادي، ويوفر فرص عمل لسكان المنطقة. لكنها متروكة للإهمال وعوامل الزمن تحتاج إلى اهتمام مكثف يكفل استفادة أمثل، وقد تم التطرق- خلال البحث- إلى دراسة واقع ما يعترض التراث العمراني بالمنطقة من عقبات ومعيقات، مصحوباً بمجموعة من النتائج والتوصيات اللازمة للحفاظ على المقومات السياحية بالمنطقة.
The importance of the study of the urban heritage stems from its values, meanings, and cultural, historical, artistic, social and economic implications, which are embodied in the history of the nations, so its archaeological sites are valuable cultural treasures and witness to human creativity in all its stages and an important economic tourism resource for the peoples at the present time. This research deals with the urban heritage of Al-Hammamah area by the Municipality of the coast by showing the importance of the details of the development of its history and highlighting its tourism components and methods of development because it is rich in archeological and natural sites whose importance in tourism cannot be overlooked. The number of tourist nights and revive its economic activity, and provides employment opportunities for the residents of the region. The study discussed the reality of the obstacles facing the urban heritage in the region, accompanied by a set of conclusions and recommendations necessary to preserve the tourism components in the region.
