المستخلص: يتناول البحث مرويات المخلفين الثلاثة في غزوة تبوك الواردة في الطبقات الكبرى لابن سعد دراسة مقارنة مع الصحيحين، وقد قسم البحث إلى تمهيد يتناول التعريف بمحمد ابن سعد وكتابه الطبقات، والإمامين البخاري ومسلم، وثلاثة مباحث: المبحث الأول: روايات المخلفين الثلاثة عند ابن سعد في الطبقات الكبرى. المبحث الثاني: روايات المخلفين الثلاثة في الصحيحين. المبحث الثالث: المقارنة بين الروايات عند ابن سعد والصحيحين. لقد جاء القرآن الكريم مُجملاً في ذكر القصص التي حدثت في العهد النبوي، إلا أن هذه الحوادث وجدت عنايةً كبيرةً لدى المؤرخين والمحدثين، ونقلت لنا بتفاصيلها الدقيقة، ولأن المقابلة بين ما ذكره المؤرخون وما ذكره المحدثون يؤدي إلى سيرة موثقة على أكمل وجه فقد قارن هذا البحث ما جاء عند ابن سعد في السيرة النبوية في الطبقات الكبرى- وهو يعد من الكتب المتقدمة التي ألفها أهل السير- بالصحيحين وهما أصح كتابين بعد القرآن الكريم. وقد توصل البحث لعدد من النتائج، منها: أورد ابن سعد قصة المخلفين الثلاثة عند حديثه عن غزوة تبوك وذكرها باختصار. اتفق البخاري ومسلم على رواية المخلفين الثلاثة التي رواها كعب بن مالك أحد الذين تخلفوا عن الغزوة مع اختلاف بسيط بينهما. كانت أحداث القصة درساً وعبرةً للصحابة في عدم التخلف عن أمر رسول الله والمبادرة إليه.

This study investigates the narratives of the three who remained behind during the Battle of Tabuk as reported in Ibn Sa'd's Al-Tabaqat Al-Kubra, comparing them with Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. The paper is divided into an introduction and three sections. The introduction provides an overview of Muhammad ibn Sa'd and his book, as well as the two Imams, al-Bukhari and Muslim. Sections one and two are about the narratives of the three who remained behind in Ibn Sa'd's Al-Tabaqat Al-Kubra and the two Sahihs respectively. Section three compares between the narratives in Ibn Sa'd's book and the two Sahihs. The Holy Quran briefly gives much information of the stories that took place during the prophetic era. However, these events received significant attention from historians and hadith scholars and reached us in great detail. Since comparing what was said by historians and hadith scholars leads to a welldocumented biography, this paper compares between the narratives of Ibn Sa'd, one of the earliest biographical works, in Al-Tabaqat Al-Kubra, with the two Sahihs, the most authentic books after the Holy Quran. The results of the study include: 1. Ibn Sa'd briefly mentioned the story of the three who remained behind when discussing the Battle of Tabuk. 2. Al-Bukhari and Muslim agreed on the narrative of the three who remained behind, as reported by Ka'b ibn Malik, one of those who remained behind from the battle, with slight differences between them. 3. The events of the story served as a moral lesson for the companions in not neglecting the commands of the Messenger of Allah and promptly responding to him.
