المستخلص: يهدف هذا البحث إلى إبراز جهود علماء الأزهر في مجال النشاط المعجمي، وهو بعنوان: [الفكر المعجمي لدى علماء الأزهر- الدكتور عبد الغفار هلال أنموذجا]، وقد عرض نشأة الفكر المعجمي عند علماء العربية، ورحلة د. عبد الغفار هلال مع اللغة العربية، تبين من خلاله اتساع نشاطه في العلوم الإسلامية واللغوية، وقد شمل جميع مجالات الدرس اللغوي خاصة، وتناول المبحث الأول الأبجدية العربية والمدارس المعجمية، ومراحل تطور الكتابة الإنسانية ونظام أبجد عند الفينيقيين، والأبجدية العربية، كما عرض حروف المعجم عند علماء العربية، وآراءهم حول ترتيبها الصوتي مع ترجيح الرأي الصائب، وكذلك مراحل جمع اللغة بصفة عامة، وما قيل حول ترتيب هذه المراحل، وتناول كذلك المدارس المعجمية ومناهجها، ورأي أستاذنا في ذلك، أما المبحث الثاني، فتناول: النقد المعجمي لدى د. عبد الغفار هلال، وعرض تأثر د. عبد الغفار هلال بغيره من العلماء، والنقد المعجمي لديه، كما ألقى الضوء على أهم نقاط الاتفاق والاختلاف بينه وبين د. حسين نصار في دراسة المعاجم، وناقش نقود أحمد فارس الشدياق على المعجمات العربية بصفة عامة، وما أيده منها د. عبد الغفار هلال وما خالفه، وما رآه من عيوب أخرى في المعجمات القديمة، وجاء المبحث الثالث لعرض رؤية د. عبد الغفار هلال حول المعاجم الحديثة والمعجم المنشود، حيث ألقى الضوء على المعاجم الحديثة التي آثرها د. عبد الغفار هلال بالدراسة، وما حققته معاجم مجمع اللغة العربية، وما ينبغي أن يتحقق مما لم تشتمل عليه، ورؤيته حول المعجم المنشود، كما عرض فكر د. عبد الغفار هلال في ميزان النقد، ماله وما عليه، ومن أبرز نتائج البحث أن د. عبد الغفار هلال وافق أحمد فارس الشدياق في بعض نقوده على المعجمات العربية القديمة، وخالفه في بعضها الآخر، وأضاف عيوبا أخرى رآها في المعجمات القديمة، توصل من خلالها إلى رؤية واضحة لمقومات المعجم المنشود، والتي تتفق مع معطيات علم صناعة المعاجم الحديث في الأعم الأغلب.

This research aims to highlight the efforts of Al-Azhar scholars in the field of lexical activity, which is entitled: [The Lexical Thought of Al-Azhar Scholars - Dr. Abdel Ghaffar Hilal as a Model ] It presented the appearing of lexical thought among Arabic scholars, and Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Hilal's journey with the Arabic language.Through it, it was found that his activities expanded in Islamic and linguistic sciences. It covered all areas of linguistic study in particular. The first topic dealt with the Arabic alphabet and lexical schools, and the stages of development of human writing and the a b j a d system of the Phoenicians, and the Arabic alphabet, as well as the presentation of the letters of the lexicon by Arab scholars, and their opinions about their phonetic arrangement with the correct opinion being preferred, as well as the stages of language collection in general, and what was said about the arrangement of these stages, and also dealt with lexical schools and their curricula, Our professor’s opinion on that, as for the second topic, it dealt with: the lexical criticism of Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Hilal, and the presentation of Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Hilal’s influence with other scholars, and his lexical criticism, It also shed light on the most important points of agreement and disagreement between him and Dr. Hussain Nassar in the study of dictionaries, and discussed Ahmed Faris Al-Shidyaq's criticism of Arabic dictionaries in general, and what Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Hilal supported and what he disagreed with, and what he found of other defects in the old dictionaries.The third topic came to present Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Hilal’s vision about modern dictionaries and the desired lexicon, where he shed light on the modern dictionaries that Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Hilal preferred to study, and what the dictionaries of the Arabic Language Academy achieved, and what should be achieved from what they did not include, and his vision about The desired lexicon, as presented by Dr. Abdul Ghaffar Hilal in the balance of criticism, what is for and against .Among the most prominent results of the research: that Dr. Abd al-Ghaffar Hilal Ahmad agreed with Faris al-Shidyaq in some of his criticism with the ancient Arabic dictionaries, and disagreed with him in some others, and added other defects he saw in the ancient dictionaries, through which he came to a clear vision of the components of the desired lexicon, which are consistent with the data of the science of industry in most modern dictionaries.
