This study examines how Algeria employs natural gas as a new diplomatic- strategy in response to current geopolitical changes, and regional and international tensions, As one of the largest countries in North Africa and a crucial energy supplier, Algeria aims to adapt these conditions to its advantage, The study uses statistical data on gas reserves, production, consumption, and exports, along with a descriptive approach to analyze how international and regional tensions impact Algeria’s gas diplomacy. Results findings reveal that Algerian gas has gained importance due to increased demand following the Russian-Ukrainian War, Amidst ongoing regional issues, such as strained relations with Morocco, the diplomatic crisis with Spain, and conflicts in the Sahel and the Middle East, Algeria is strategically leveraging its natural gas resources, This approach helps Algeria reshape its position in the global energy market and restore its political influence through effective gas diplomacy. |
