المستخلص: يهدف البحث بعون الله وتوفيقه إلى المقارنة بين منهج المتقدمين والمتأخرين في مصطلح الشاذ، وذكر بعض النماذج والأمثلة التي توضح معناه، وعلى ماذا استقر الاصطلاح في تعريفه، ومحاولة الوصول إلى الصحيح من أقوال العلماء في تعريفه، وحكم قبول الروايات التي تتصف بذلك سندا ومتنا، وقام الباحث بتعريف المنكر، وذكر تعريفات العلماء له، وبيان أمثلة لذلك من كتب المصطلح، وبيان أقسامه من حيث السند والمتن، وحكم قبول الروايات التي تتصف بذلك، ثم قام ببيان زيادة الثقة، وحكم قبول الروايات التي تتصف بذلك سندا ومتنا عند كل من المتقدمين والمتأخرين مع ذكر تطبيقات عملية لذلك من كتب الأئمة، وبيان بعض الصور والنماذج لزيادة الثقة من خلال كتب المصطلح والعلل، واحتياطات العلماء في قبول زيادة الثقة، وشروط كون الخبر موصوفا بزيادة الثقة، وأنها لا تقبل على الإطلاق بل لابد من قرائن، وأن ما انفرد به ثقة غير أنه لم يتوفر فيه شروط القبول لا يسمى زيادة ثقة. والمنهج المتبع في البحث هو المنهج الاستقرائي القائم على الوقوف على استقراء تعريفات المتقدمين والمتأخرين لهذه المصطلحات، وكذلك منهج المقارنة بين مناهجهم رحمهم الله، وبيان النتائج المستنبطة من تلك الدراسة.
