This research highlights the topic of Food Safety, a relatively recent subject, particularly in terms of its legal and managerial handling, given its importance as it pertains to human health and daily food consumption, essential for fulfilling basic human needs. Food safety encompasses a set of practices and procedures that ensure the food we consume is safe and free from microbiological hazards and harmful substances that could lead to food poisoning and other illnesses. The spread of foodborne diseases is notably increasing, and global food trade faces disruptions due to frequent disputes regarding food safety and quality. Consequently, there is a pressing need to review and strengthen food control systems and to make necessary improvements. Developing countries, including Algeria, are thus working to establish and implement a food safety control system based on the risk assessment concept represents a contemporary approach. |
