|a إن الزائر لمختلف المواقع والمتاحف الأثرية بالمدن الجزائرية عامة وبكويكول خاصة يلاحظ الكم الهائل من الفسيفساء المعروضة إما على جدران المتاحف أو على أرضياتها أو التي لا تزال في مواقعها الأصلية، وأشد ما يلفت انتباهه الألوان الزاهية الكثيرة إضافة إلى تلك الرموز والتزينات التي تزخر بها، وهذا ما يجعل نفسه تتساءل عن ماهية تلك الرموز والتي هي موضوع مقالنا هذا حيث أوردت تلك الرموز وقدمت لها تعريفا أو تفسيرا، كما تطرقت لأصلها في الكتاب المقدس على اعتبار تلك الرموز في الحقيقة ما هي إلا رسائل دينية مبطنة بصبغة فنية وهذا ما سنلاحظه من خلال الاطلاع على هذا المقال كما قدمت المدينة كويكول خلال الفترة المسيحية على اعتبارها الحقبة المعنية بالدراسة وكذلك تطرقت لأهم المعالم المسيحية الدينية الموجودة بمدينة البحث.
|b The visitor to various archaeological sites and museums in Algerian cities in general, and Cuicul in particular, notices the immense quantity of mosaics displayed either on the walls of the museums or on their floors, or those that remain in their original locations. What most draws the visitors’ attention are the numerous bright colours, in addition to the symbols and decorations that abound. This raises questions about the nature of those symbols, which are the subject of this article. The article presents these symbols and provides a definition or explanation for them, as well as discussing their origin in the Holy Bible, considering that these symbols are, in fact, religious messages cloaked in artistic form. This will be observed through the review of this article, which also presents the city of Cuicul during the Christian period, as being the era under study, and addresses the most important Christian religious landmarks in the city of research.
